Cham lies on the northern shore of Lake Zug, where the Lorze river leaves the lake. Besides the village centre, it includes districts such as Hagendorn, Lindencham and Friesencham. It is known for the Villette park on the lake, St. Andreas castle and the brickworks museum in Hagendorn; in 1991 Cham received the Wakker Prize.
