Heiligkreuz convent near Cham was founded in 1862 by sisters from Baldegg next to the Holy Cross chapel and long devoted itself to the education of young women. Today it is home to Olivetan Benedictine nuns; the mural in the choir of the church is by the church painter Fritz Kunz.
