The Wildenburg was founded in the 13th century by a branch of the Lords of Hünenberg on a rocky spur above the Lorzentobel and guarded the crossing of the Lorze. The curtain walls, the residential building and the keep with walls 3.5 metres thick have survived; the ruin was restored in 1985.
