Translation The English version is a draft and has not been reviewed yet.

Walchwil lies on the eastern shore of Lake Zug on the slope between the Zugerberg and the Rossberg and borders the canton of Schwyz to the south. Thanks to the mild climate, sweet chestnuts, vines and figs grow here; the municipality is also known for its cherry trees. The parish church of St. John the Baptist stands in the village centre.
