Profile

Translation The English version is a draft and has not been reviewed yet.

Steinhausen lies north-west of the town of Zug on south-facing ground, with the Steinhausen forest to the north. With 504 hectares it is the smallest municipality in Zug by area; until the middle of the 20th century the farming village had fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, today it has more than 10,000. Finds in the Sennweid area show settlement since the Stone Age.
