Neuheim lies on the northern edge of the canton between the Lorze and Sihl rivers in a moraine landscape and borders the Zurich municipalities of Hausen am Albis and Horgen. The village separated from Menzingen in 1848 and, with just over 2,500 inhabitants, is the smallest municipality in Zug. Its church is first mentioned in records in 1173; Neuheim is also home to the Zug Depot of Technology History.
